Short Courses
Short courses are available from Level 1 to Level 5.

Certificate III in Pet Grooming (ACM30122)
$5,000 + gst for practical training
$2,225 for online assesments

ACM30122 – Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) Course Structure:

6 weeks (25 days) including a pet first aid course with training on site at
A Touch of Class Grooming Salon where you will learn all the necessary training and skills required for a career in grooming such as pre-groom, washing, trimming, clipping & scissor techniques, customer service, animal health & safety, animal care and styling.
Practical assessments are conducted under the supervision of Michelle Warren.
Online assessments are also to be completed via the Heiniger Academy e-learning platform.
Short Courses - Levels 1 to 5
$1,000 for each level +gst
During these short courses you will learn everything from washing, drying and trimming nails in Level 1, through to creative grooming in Level 5 with each level consisting of 5 days of training.
Level 1:

Introduction to Dog Grooming, designed for those interested in grooming their own dogs at home.

Learn about grooming equipment, Bathing, Drying, Trim Nails, Tidy the pads, pluck ears, hygienic areas, grooming out the coat and clipping your dog.
Level 2:
Course content:

This is the next level for those wishing to continue on with their grooming classes.

Learn how to groom dogs with the correct equipment and techniques for clipping and scissoring.
​​

Knowing which of the blades/ snap-on combs/ tools of trade, to use is a must and will be covered in this level.

Level 4:

It is time to focus on technique and time frame. This is for those students who are serious about working in or running their own salon.

Time for some fun!! During these 5 days you will learn some creative grooming skills. Have fun with colours and let your creativity come alive.

NEVER more than 6-8 students per class so you are guaranteed to get personal attention from a respected industry trainer.
